Eagle Repeater GMRS Group
The antenna mass is made out of 3/4 inch EMT Electrical Pipe. This does have a lighter frame than most masses. Over the course of building it, I have taken the time to add more support members to the 3 stems.
Current location of the antenna mass puts the tips at about 60ft plus being 520ft ASL. Its antennas are a Patiot 99 CB, 2 x 70cm GMRS, scanner and an extra antenna. The 3 stem points are 24in apart. In the days to come, a weather station, Acu-Rite, will be installed on the antenna mass. A pan & tilt camera will be added to view the weather outside. Last to go on will be an 60w speaker cone to be used as a PA speaker. Our goal is to get the GMRS antennas moved to a county tower so the range of the repeaters will be greater.
Eagle 1 Repeater is made up of 2 CDM 1250 by Motorola and Motorola Repeater Controller I20R. The plan is to duplicate the set up of Eagle 1 and make Eagle 2 and Eagle 3 repeaters. This set up and layout will hopefully cover Montgomery County, TN. If another repeater is needed for the area, a 4th will be added to the group.
